These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the JALN Ventures Notary Services website and the notary services provided through it. By accessing this website or requesting services, you agree to these Terms.

Scope of Services

JALN Ventures Notary Services provides:

• Mobile notary services

• Remote online notarization (RON)

Services are limited to lawful notarial acts as authorized under North Carolina law. We do not provide legal advice, prepare documents, or interpret the contents of any document.

Appointment Requests and Confirmation

All appointments are requested and reviewed before confirmation. Appointment approval is subject to:

• Verification of required identification

• Confirmation of document readiness

• Location or technical feasibility

We reserve the right to decline or cancel appointment requests that do not meet legal or service requirements.

Fees and Payment

• Fees for public notary and RON services are charged per notarized signature, in accordance with North Carolina law.

• Payment is required at the time of booking.

• For mobile notary services, mileage is billed separately based on the IRS standard mileage rate in effect at the time of service and will be confirmed prior to appointment approval.

All fees will be clearly disclosed before an appointment is confirmed.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Clients may cancel or reschedule appointments up to 12 hours before the scheduled appointment time for a full refund.

Late cancellations, no-shows, or failure to appear with proper identification or required documents are non-refundable.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

• Providing valid, government-issued photo identification

• Ensuring documents are complete and ready for notarization

• Ensuring all signers are present and willing to sign

• For RON services, having a compatible device, camera, microphone, and stable internet connection

Failure to meet these requirements may result in cancellation without refund.

Remote Online Notarization (RON)

RON services are conducted using approved third-party platforms. Identity verification and recordkeeping are performed as required by law. By requesting RON services, clients consent to the use of such platforms and their associated verification processes.

Limitation of Liability

JALN Ventures Notary Services is not responsible for:

• The legal validity or enforceability of documents

• Errors or omissions in documents not prepared by us

• Technical failures beyond our control

Liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and branding, is the property of JALN Ventures Notary Services and may not be copied or used without permission.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
